Types of Taxonomy:-
They are different type of taxonomy but we mainly here study:-
(1) alpha taxonomy:- It is mainly based on external morphological characters of plants. It is also known as "classical"taxonomy.
(2) Beta taxonomy:-It is also based on external morphological with also includes internal character like"embryological, Cytological, Anatomical character.
(3) Omega taxonomy:-It is based on all information or data concerns evolutionary
relationship.It has wide scope.
Note:- Alpha, Beta and Omega taxonomy word were produced by"Thrill"
(4) Cytotaxonomy:-Based on Cytological information like chromosome number, structure and behaviour.Use of Cytological character of plants or in solving taxonomy problems is called Cytotaxonomy.
(5)Chemotaxonomy:-It is based on chemical constituents of plants.The use of chemical character of plants in classification or in solving taxonomy problems is called Chemotaxonomy .It is also known as chemical taxonomy.
The basic chemical compounds used in Chemotaxonomy are carotenoids, alkaloids, tannins, polysaccharide, fatty acids, nucleic acid,aeromatic compounds etc.
(6) karyotaxonomy:-Based on nucleus and chromosome present in the cell.

(1) Systematic:-Word derived from Latin word"systema" which means systematic arrangement of organisms.
It includes description of external and internal morphological characters of plants or living organisms.
eg:- Morphological characters of roots, steam,lives, flowers.
(2)Neo Systematic or New Systematic:- A new branch of Taxonomy mainly based on evolutionary as well as evolutionary relationship .
It includes description of all external and internal structure , along with structure of cell , ecological information of organisms, development processes.
It is used to know evolutionary relationship among living organisms.
